Professor Xiangfa Liu was invited to attend the 8th China Aluminum Processing and Recycled Aluminum Technology Summit
From December 17th to 19th, 2025, the 8th China Aluminum Processing and Recycled Aluminum Technology Summit was held in Zouping, Shandong Province. Professor Xiangfa Liu, the team leader, led graduate students Yuan Sun, Wenlong Dong, Dong Li, Xueting Li, Xiaoming Ren, Hong Duan and Xuyu Hou to attend the conference.

At this meeting, Professor Xiangfa Liu was invited to deliver a presentation titled "Low-Ti Type TCB Seed Materials and Their Effects on High-End Aluminum Alloy Three-Control Technology". He introduced the "low-Ti type TCB seed materials" and their functions in the nucleation of α-Al, as well as the control techniques for defects and Fe phases in aluminum alloys. This technology can efficiently and stably achieve grain refinement in cast Al-Si alloys, reduce various casting defects, and regulate the morphology of Fe phases in 7050 alloy, providing a comprehensive new strategy for the preparation of high-end aluminum alloys. The presentation received a positive response, and a series of researchers and enterprise personnel had extensive exchanges with the teachers and students of the studio after the meeting.
Through this meeting, the teachers and students of the Innovation Studio gained a deeper understanding of the current state of the aluminum processing and recycled aluminum technologies in the industry, which provided guidance for the subsequent work and strengthened their connection with the industry.
